Karl Lewis Cruz serves as an instructor at the Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts, University of the Philippines Diliman where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in speech communication. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in speech communication at the same university.

His research interests include interpersonal communication, social influence, persuasion resistance, and inoculation theory/strategy. He strongly believes in the importance of quantitative research and data analytics in critical discourse and emancipatory endeavors.
