Associate in Arts (Theatre)

The Associate in Arts (Theatre) program is a craft-oriented program designed to train prospective theatre practitioners in the creative industries. 


Students enrolled in the AA (Theatre) program must complete a total of 75 units consisting of 18 units of GE courses, 24 units of core courses, 24 units of major Theatre courses, 6 units of non-Theatre elective courses, and 3 units of a legislated course.

With the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) still in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are migrating the AA(T) application process to online platforms.

30 MAY TO 24 JUNE
Submission of the Online Application Form and complete requirements;
25 JULY
Announcement of Successful Applicants via e-mail.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Associate in Arts (Theatre) program does not require the prospective student to pass the UPCAT Examination.

 

The prospect must submit the following documents to the department:

  1. a duly accomplished application form (available here),

  2. three recommendation letters, and

  3. a portfolio of creative works.

 

 DSCTA’s Associate in Arts committee evaluates all applications. Successful applicants are notified regarding the qualifying examination and the interview.
