STUDENT APPEALS FOR LATE REGISTRATION

During the registration period, all appeal letters must be printed and require a wet signature.

The steps to filing appeals to credit courses outside your curriculum are as follows:

  1. Write the Appeal Letter

    • ​​The student writes an appeal letter addressed to the University Registrar, Prof. Rowena Quinto-Bailon, PhD (for those who are eligible for the Free Tuition Act) OR the Chancellor, Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II, LLM (for other students).

    • The appeal letter should include the following: 

      • Semester and academic year when the course was taken

      • Detailed reason for appeal

      • Attach pertinent proof for the late registration or payment (e.g. medical certifcate, employment certificate)

    • The department may ask for more documents if needed. 
       

  2. Submit to Program Adviser

    • The student submits the appeal letter to their program adviser, who reviews, signs, and endorses the letter to the program head.
       

  3. Program Head Review

    • The program head reviews the appeal. If deemed satisfactory, the letter is forwarded to the Academic Affairs Coordinator.
       

  4. Academic Affairs Coordinator and Chairperson Review

    • The Academic Affairs coordinator reviews the appeal and forwards the letter to the Administrative Officer for the Chairperson’s signature. 
       

  5. Notification of Result

    • The administrative officer informs the student if the letter is ready for pick-up.
       

  6. Submission to the CAL Secretary’s Office

    • The student submits the signed appeal to the CAL Secretary’s Office. 
       

  7. Sending form to Course Registration System (CRS)

    • Send the signed appeal letter and acceptance letters via email at support@crs.upd.edu.ph. Follow up via this email. 
      ​
