RESEARCH ETHICS GUIDELINES
Undergraduate tudents conducting their theses are required to file for a research ethics clearance.
Research ethics clearance ensures that a study or protection protects the rights, safety, dignity, and confidentiality of participants in accordance with established ethical standards. It also verifies that the research design minimizes harm and complies with institutional and regulatory requirements before data collection begins.

The steps are as follows:

Student fills out the Undergrad Thesis Ethics Form and the thesis adviser endorses it.

The student must submit the form to the DSCTA Research Ethics Committee (DSCTA-REC).

The DSCTA-REC reviews the submitted protocol. Once approved, there may be recommendations from the reviewers.

The student implements their thesis or stages their production work. Recommendations must be attached to the final manuscript.
