Speak up, now! UP Diliman continues Speak UP public speaking workshops for students and professionals this June 2026

Ready to build confidence, refine your communication skills, and express yourself effectively in school and at work? The University of the Philippines Diliman continues its Speak UP workshop series this June 2026.
Organized and facilitated by experienced faculty members of the UP Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts, the workshop seeks to cater to the unique needs of each age group: Storytelling and Performance for Kids (ages 5 to 8), Basic Public Speaking for Tweens (ages 9 to 12), Advanced Public Speaking and Argumentation (ages 13 to 17), and Effective Communication for Professionals. Each workshop promises guided activities, feedback sessions, and culmination activities ideal for personal, academic, and professional growth.
Sessions will be conducted fully face-to-face within the premises of the University of the Philippines Diliman. The workshop for kids, tweens, and teens will run for two weeks from June 01 to 11, 2026, while the professional track will be conducted in four focused sessions on June 06 and 13, 2026. Workshop participants will be awarded certificates of completion at the final session.
Registration fees start at PHP 8000 for kids and tweens, and PHP 10,000 for teens and professionals. Special discounted rates will be available for those enrolling before March 31, 2026!
Instituted in 1959, the UP Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts (DSCTA) is a vibrant community for outstanding students, scholars, and practitioners in the fields of communication, theatre arts, and performance studies. It was awarded by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) as the 2022 Outstanding Institution for Humanities.
